Integrative Health Program

Integrative healthcare enhances traditional medicine with complementary therapies — such as acupuncture, yoga, aromatherapy, massage and mindfulness — to address the whole person. Families interested in a holistic approach to health may benefit from the Integrative Health Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Our team of specially trained providers offers integrative and evidence-based therapies that are safe and effective and support your family’s quality of life.
Complementary therapies consider a child’s environment, mind, body and soul. Therapies can reduce stress, speed healing and — in some cases — alleviate pain and resolve symptoms that weren’t being addressed through more conventional therapies. The services we provide are not chosen based on trends but on science and our providers' experience.

Our philosophy
The Integrative Health Program at CHOP is a national leader in Integrative Pediatrics. We embrace the whole-child health model and are committed to supporting biopsychosocial-spiritual dimensions of patient and family health and well-being. The Integrative Health Program developed this Whole Child Wheel of Health to represent the comprehensive, whole-child model of care our program strives to provide at CHOP.
