If your child is having trouble communicating because of problems with their hearing or speech, the Center for Childhood Communication at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is here for you.
We offer a wide range of clinical services for children and their families. Our team applies the latest research discoveries to treat children with hearing, language, voice, speech, feeding and swallowing disorders.
We care for children from infancy until young adulthood in both the hospital and outpatient settings. In addition to providing clinical services, we also:
- support children’s social and emotional development
- connect families to appropriate community resources, educational programs and advocacy services
- provide recommendations for children’s educational services and goals
- help adolescents as they transition to adulthood

We provide comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative services for children with hearing loss, balance problems and speech disorders.

Your child will be cared for by our expert team, which includes audiologists, speech-language pathologists, educational consultants, child and family therapists and otolaryngologists.

Our complete line-up of services is available in the Buerger Center for Advanced Pediatric Care at CHOP's Philadelphia Campus. Select services are offered at Specialty Care Centers throughout the CHOP Care Network.
