About Kimberly J. Mason, MSN, CNS, PCNS-BC
Kimberly J. Mason, MSN, RN, CNS, PCNS-BC, HEC-C, has held a variety of clinical positions in pediatric nursing, both here at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), and at other children's hospitals throughout the United States. She is the leader of the Nursing Ethics Engagement Team and serves as the co-chair of the CHOP Ethics Committee. Kim is Associate Director of the Department of Medical Ethics and a member of the Ethics Consultation Service, providing extensive ethics education throughout the health system. She received her BSN from Georgetown University and her MSN from the University of Pennsylvania as a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. She completed the Pediatric Bioethics Certificate Program at the Children's Mercy Center for Bioethics, Kansas City, MO. Kim is a Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN), a board-certified, Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (PCNS-BC, and a certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HEC-C).
