Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 ensures that individuals with disabilities are given protection from discrimination. Often at school, this means that a child is allowed reasonable accommodations as determined by a 504 Committee.

The Comprehensive Bone Marrow Failure Center (CBMFC) at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is committed to providing comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and young adults with bone marrow failure disorders. Our goal is for our patients to become confident and comfortable in their own health care, so that they and their families are prepared for a smooth and successful transition to adult life when the time comes.
