PGY1 & PGY2 Corporate Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (CPAL) with Masters Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program
Preparing residents for success as future pharmacy leaders in corporate pharmacy, specializing in pharmacy supply chain management.
The resident will undergo comprehensive PGY1 health systems training, completing their PGY1 in Pharmacy at one of four partner health systems, followed by a PGY2 in Corporate Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (CPAL) with Cencora (formerly AmerisourceBergen). During the 2-year program, residents will acquire in-depth knowledge and engage in essential supply chain activities pivotal to pharmacy practice. These activities include pharmacy supply chain principles, understanding the stakeholder ecosystem, wholesaler distribution and economics, health system leadership, drug shortage strategies, inventory management, 340B contracting, and medication cost management strategies. Additionally, the resident will pursue a master’s degree as part of this innovative two-year program, strategically crafted to prepare them for success as a future pharmacy leader in corporate pharmacy, specializing in pharmacy supply chain management.

PGY2 CPAL Program provided by Cencora
The PGY2 year will be completed remotely while being physically located at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Residents will travel to Cencora headquarters and for partner meetings throughout the PGY2 year. Cencora will cover the cost of that travel.

The residency program is designed using the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Residency Standards, and utilizes the goals and objectives designed within this program.
Program requirements
Interested applicants to the PGY1 & PGY2 Corporate Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (CPAL) with Masters Pediatric Pharmacy Residency Program, must:
- Be a graduate of an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy Degree Program
- Be eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania by October 1 of residency year. Please refer to the PA State Board of Pharmacy for licensure information
Selection of the resident is based on evaluation of college transcripts, letters of recommendation and a full day interview
