Nasopharyngolaryngoscopy
In this study, a physician gently places a small, thin, flexible endoscope with a camera down through your child's nose to view your his upper airway anatomy above the vocal cords. This procedure takes only a few minutes, is painless and does not require any sedation.
Family members can see the exam on a video monitor while it is being done. The test can provide valuable information regarding the anatomy, the movement and the condition of the upper airway structures.
