Description

Down syndrome can make it easier for kids and teens to become overweight. Teenagers with DS often have more body fat than other people their age and might have higher chances of getting health issues like diabetes and heart problems. This study looked at ways to measure body fat and risk for these health problems in kids and teens with Down syndrome compared to other healthy people. The goal was to help doctors find better ways to check for and stop these health problems in kids and teens with Down syndrome.
