Gut Health (Microbiome) in Adolescents with Anorexia Nervosa
Contact
Description
We are looking for girls who have a current or past diagnosis of anorexia nervosa and one parent to participate in a study to help us understand how microorganisms in the gut may change during treatment for anorexia nervosa. The goal of this study is to understand what role the gut microbiome plays in the development and maintenance of anorexia nervosa. We also hope to understand how the food that adolescents and young adults eat affects the gut and inflammation levels. This will help us understand how teens with anorexia get better and could reveal new treatment targets.
