Pediatric Epilepsy Program

At Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we know how difficult it can be to deal with the daily challenges of living with seizures or epilepsy. Our experts at the Pediatric Epilepsy Program have the answers and advanced treatment options you and your child need. Each team member specializes in the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of infants, children and adolescents with these conditions. We work to understand why the condition has developed and design a personalized treatment plan with the fewest side effects. We are an accredited level 4 pediatric epilepsy center, which means we have the expertise and facilities to provide the highest level of medical and surgical care. Our goal: help you and your child enjoy lives unaffected by seizures.

Your child’s appointment

Before an appointment with the Pediatric Epilepsy Program, we need to review your child's medical records and an electroencephalogram (EEG) may need to be scheduled. This is a test used to find problems related to the electrical activity of the brain. Learn what to send, when to contact your insurance company, and what to expect during and after your appointment.
