If your child suffers from depression and other mood disorders such as bipolar disorder, you know they face many challenges. In the Child and Adolescent Mood Program (CHAMP), our specialized team of psychiatrists, psychologists and other mental health professionals can help.

Our goal is the same as yours: to help your child find ways to manage his or her symptoms or make them less severe. In some cases, stopping symptoms altogether may be possible. To do that, our first priority is to diagnose your child’s condition and then create a care plan that is personalized to their specific needs.

Our services are family centered. Family members are an important part of the diagnostic process and treatment plan.

How we serve you

After a thorough evaluation, possible treatment options for your child may include supportive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), interpersonal therapy (IPT), group therapy or medication to help manage your child’s symptoms.

Children and teens in CHAMP are cared for at the Center for Advanced Behavioral Healthcare, located on the third floor at 4601 Market St.
