Suicide continues to be a leading cause of death among children and young adults. In fact, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), suicide is the second-leading cause of death among people age 10-24.

NBC10 recently published an online documentary taking a look at suicide and how you can talk to your children about this difficult topic. Tami Benton, MD, Psychiatrist-in-Chief, spoke with NBC10 about the stress younger children are facing and how our doctors are integrating mental healthcare into your child’s check-ups.
