Katherine Dahlsgaard, PhD, ABPP, clinical director of the Anxiety Behaviors Clinic at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), was honored with the 2017 Psychology in Media Award by the Pennsylvania Psychological Association. The award is given each year to a member of the medical community who brings evidence-based psychology to the public through the media.
“It’s wonderful to be recognized by my peers for the work that I do,” says Dr. Dahlsgaard. “Mental health can be treated with such stigma, so it’s important to make sure we do all we can to educate people.”
Dr. Dahlsgaard writes regularly for the Philadelphia Inquirer and has made multiple appearances on television and radio.
