Last week, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) hosted The Runway, a contemporary lunchtime fashion show curated by top Philadelphia-area designers and trunk show offering one-of-a-kind goods, at the Crystal Tea Room. All proceeds benefited CHOP’s Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes which includes programs for conditions related to the thyroid, adrenal gland, pituitary gland, bone health, blood sugar and more. More than $615,000 was raised to benefit the division!
The Runway is an annual day of fashion and philanthropy supporting breakthrough care and research. The event aims to celebrate the creativity of our fashion partners, the resilience of our patients and the impact we make when we come together. The season’s latest fashions were modeled by CHOP clinicians along with patients of CHOP and the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes, all sporting their finest to raise awareness and funds for those with endocrine disorders.
Hundreds of children visit CHOP’s Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes each year for both routine and rare conditions. The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes is one of the largest centers of its kind in the nation and has made game-changing breakthroughs to improve the lives of children living with endocrine related disorders.
