Each year, The Urology Care Foundation awards its Humanitarian Grant to the most outstanding urology specialists in the field. Making the list for 2023 is CHOP’s very own attending pediatric urologist, Dana Weiss, MD, for her longstanding humanitarian work abroad.
For sixteen years, Dr. Weiss has tirelessly traveled back and forth from CHOP to the Civil Hospital Amdavad in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India — an area heavily affected by bladder exstrophy and severely underserved. As a recipient of The Urology Care Foundation Humanitarian Grant, Dr. Weiss will have additional support to continue her work of providing critical care to these patients.
