Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) announced today that it has earned the 2025 Military Friendly ® Employer designation. Institutions earning the Military Friendly ® Employer designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. This is the fifth year in a row that CHOP has received the distinction, which will be featured in the December 2024 issue of G.I. Jobs® magazine and on www.MilitaryFriendly.com.
CHOP was awarded the Military Friendly® Employer designation for its ability to meet thresholds in attracting, retaining, promoting and advancing veterans and military employees.

Allen, MBA, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “This recognition is a testament of our commitment to our veteran colleagues; we value and honor their contributions and are so grateful for their continued service.”
“It is an honor to once again receive the Military Friendly Employer designation,” said Patricia Lee, PMP, Digital and Technology Services Project Manager and Executive Officer of the U.S. Military Employee Resource Group (ERG) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “I am proud to work for an organization that recognizes the importance of our military community. Receiving this designation shows that CHOP values the inclusion of our military, especially when it comes to the umbrella of diversity on our teams.”
The U.S. Military ERG at CHOP focuses on developing the careers of veteran and active-duty employees and supporting military patient families and employees, as well as engaging in community philanthropy. The group is open to all CHOP employees, regardless of veteran status or current active-duty status, as well as employees with family members who are active duty, guard, reserve, or veterans.
Military Friendly® is the standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful benefits for the military community. Over 1,200 organizations competed for Military Friendly® designation this year.
