How Anorectal Manometry Is Performed
Anorectal manometry is a test that may be ordered for children who have a history of constipation or stool incontinence. Your child's doctor may also order an anorectal manometry if she's trying to rule out a Hirschprung's disease diagnosis. In this video for parents and caregivers, you'll learn about prep instructions for the test, what to expect during the procedure and what your child will need to do during the test. You'll also watch as it's performed on a medical mannequin.
