Navigating life when your child is newly diagnosed with a food allergy is challenging. Food is everywhere and part of most of our social gatherings. To help parents, grandparents and caregivers of patients newly diagnosed with food allergies, CHOP’s Food Allergy Center sponsors regular workshops for newly diagnosed parents and families.
This virtual workshop will provide:
Evidence-based information about how best to avoid food allergens
- Explore myths about food allergy
- Instructions on how best to read food labels to identify potential allergens
- How to prepare your family for any accidental exposures or allergic reactions
We’ll also review prevention strategies to ensure your child (and family) have healthy coping strategies to deal with this diagnosis.
Registration
This virtual event is free. A link to join this event via Microsoft Teams will be sent after registration.
