8th Annual Personalized IBD and VEO-IBD Symposium

Physicians and healthcare professionals are invited to join Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) for our 8th Annual Personalized IBD and VEO-IBD Symposium: Genomics, Microbiome, Biologics and Beyond. 
 
At this one-day virtual course, you will learn from faculty from CHOP’s Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition – including experts from the Center for Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and the Very Early Onset Inflammatory Bowel Disease (VEO-IBD) Program – who will provide you with: 

  • A comprehensive overview of the genomic, immunologic and microbiome discoveries in VEO-IBD and pediatric IBD
  • The latest developments in research and clinical care for patients with pediatric IBD or VEO-IBD
  • An in-depth look at today’s cutting-edge diagnostic tools and therapeutics 

This course will include lectures by nationally and internationally recognized experts, interactive panel discussions, and case presentations.

This session will include lectures from Judith R. Kelsen, MD, and Scott W. Canna, MD, and case discussion from Brooke E. Boyer, MD, Maire A. Conrad, MD, MS, Trusha Patel, MD

Clinical Collaboration for the IBD-ologist 

This session will include lectures from Amanda Ricciuto, MD, PhD, FRCPC, and Michael Silverman, MD

Translational/Bench Session 

This session will include lectures from Kathryn E. Hamilton, PhD, and Ken Cadwell, PhD. 

Precision Therapeutics: Dynamic Case Discussion 

This session will include a lecture from Andrew B. Grossman, MD, followed by a dynamic case discussion with Lindsey G. Albenberg, DO, Elana B. Mitchel, MD, MSCE, as well as Drs. Boyer, Conrad, Kelsen, Patel and Ricciuto.

The cost of this event is $85. Participants are eligible for CE credit if they attend the full event and complete a post-event evaluation via email. Trainees may register for free but are not eligible for CE credit. 

This professional development activity is designed for pediatric gastroenterologists, GI surgeons, GI fellows and residents, advanced practice providers, clinical nurse specialists, radiologists, pathologists, dietitians, nurses, researchers and other healthcare professionals.

  • Physicians: Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.  
  • Nurses: This program provides 3.5 ANCC contact hours.  
  • Joint Accreditation: This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 3.5 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credit for learning and change.  
     
    NOTE: Trainees who register for free are not eligible for CE credit.
