About Adrianne Ross

When human beings enter the health system they are often in their most vulnerable state; Dr. Ross’ great passion is to ensure high quality care for families and the community.

Dr. Adrianne Ross brings more than 20 years of professional and academic teaching in mission driven healthcare systems and is a veteran of equitable health care delivery transformation.

She recently served as President & COO of University of Vermont Health Home Health & Hospice where she oversaw all operations related to transitions of care, post-acute care, and end of life, including administrative and strategic leadership operating results and financial performance.

A dynamic and resolute leader, in her current work Dr. Ross seeks to improve care delivery operations and seamlessly integrate transitions of care strategies across the health system to enhance system growth and effectiveness for the community and staff. She also serves as Associate Professor for the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences at the University of Vermont.

Throughout her career, Dr. Ross has garnered experience in healthcare administration, health equity and research; before joining the University of Vermont Health Network she served as Director of Patient Access for Hennepin Hospital and Director of Pain Palliative and Integrative Medicine at Children’s Minnesota Hospital; Publication: An integrative, interdisciplinary approach to sickle cell wellness – The creation of a clinic. American Academy of Pediatrics.

She is known for tackling challenging daily operational issues affecting the continuum of care across multiple departments. Her expertise includes strategic care coordination, integrated delivery networks, program development, and Accountable Care Organizations. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Regional Director covering more than 40 Primary Care offices serving several hundred patients daily in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ross earned her doctoral degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, a Master of Health Administration from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Georgia State University.

Dr. Ross consults for health systems across the United States and internationally she is recognized as a regional patient access expert leveraging health-tech innovation; and actively serves on the United Way Board, ACLU Board and is a Board member of Vapor Ministries.
