After fellowship, Dr. Neumeister is pursuing a career in Academic Plastic Surgery, focusing on pediatric cleft and soft tissue plastic surgery.
Why CHOP? "I wanted to be a Pediatric Plastic Surgery Fellow at CHOP for several reasons! As someone who plans to treat a wide range of pediatric conditions that are seen in plastic surgery, I wanted to be sure I had exposure to both common and rare diagnoses to broaden my knowledge base and experience in pediatric plastic surgery. Not only did I want to gain experience and skill in cleft surgery, but I also have a strong interest in general soft tissue pediatric plastic surgery. CHOP is a world-class pediatric hospital and the perfect place to gain the knowledge and experience I was looking for. The attendings are incredible surgeons who are welcoming and dedicated to education. I am so grateful to be a part of the CHOP Pediatric Plastic Surgery Family."
Since the start of her fellowship, Dr. Neumeister has been working with research fellows on research projects involved in cleft, adolescent breast surgery, pediatric lower extremity trauma, vascular anomalies, and medical education.
