About Adam J. Kundishora, MD

As one of the few dual fellowship trained pediatric neurosurgeons in the country – having done a pediatrics spine deformity fellowship in addition to a traditional pediatric neurosurgery fellowship – Dr. Kundishora treats a broad range of pediatric neurosurgical disorders. He approaches his work with a deep commitment to patient-centered care, believing that every child deserves not only the best medical treatment but also compassion and understanding. Dr. Kundishora emphasizes the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, collaborating closely with a team of specialists, including pediatric neurologists, vascular congenital anomaly specialists, physical therapists, pediatric orthopedic surgeons, and pediatric reconstructive and plastic surgeons. This collaborative framework ensures that each child’s unique needs are addressed, promoting optimal health outcomes and enhancing the overall experience for families navigating complex medical journeys. His philosophy is rooted in the idea that healing goes beyond surgery; it encompasses emotional support and education for both patients and their families.

Dr. Kundishora’s clinical expertise spans a wide array of conditions. He specializes in the treatment of spina bifida, complex spine deformities, scoliosis, and spinal column shortening, utilizing advanced surgical techniques to restore function and improve quality of life. Additionally, he addresses congenital vascular lesions of the brain and spine, including arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), aneurysms, moyamoya disease, and other causes of pediatric stroke. Dr. Kundishora is not only dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical care but also to fostering an environment of hope and resilience for his patients and their families.
