About Paige Mountain, MS, CCC-SLP, Chef
Medical institutions all over the world are shifting more towards recommending medical diets and healthier lifestyle choices either in combination or in lieu of medications. However, majority of the time these changes can be very drastic and difficult to adhere to; especially in the pediatric population. In 2015, Paige started at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia as one of the world’s first professionally trained Medical Chef Educators, and has since paved a new career path in the field of Culinary Medicine to help families with children on medically complex diets. The role of Medical Chef Educator is designed to help make these diet changes more feasible for everyday compliance and guide you with simple, cost effective recipes that your child (and family) will genuinely enjoy eating.
At The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Paige works with the Department of Clinical Nutrition to provide support to the Culinary Medicine Program, where she educates and coaches families with an array of medically prescribed diets CHOP-wide.
