About James Alfano, PT, DPT, PCS

James has worked at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia since 2012. He joined the CHOP Sports Medicine Department in 2018 and currently works at the Sports Medicine and Performance Center at the Buerger Center.

He has experience working on the general outpatient and acute care physical therapy teams. With this experience, he was able to obtain his board specialty certification in Pediatrics from the American Physical Therapy Association in 2016.

James’ clinical interests include treating basketball players and runners, helping athletes learn how to prepare for and optimize their sports performance post-injury, and using his expertise to promote health and wellness through sports participation and assisting athletes return to sport safely.
