Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Student Clinical Rotations

The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at CHOP welcomes MLS students from our affiliated universities to participate in four-week clinical rotations during their final year of training.

Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Student Externship

MLS students in the Philadelphia area are invited to join our team of laboratory professionals as externs. In these paid positions, students are employed part-time to  perform pre- and post-analytical work on patient samples in our laboratory.

Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Education Program

Through a combination of traditional classwork and robust clinical experiences, the MLS Education Program will prepare students for entry-level career opportunities upon completion. The Program is a 9-month undergraduate-level program comprised of 32 credit hours of didactic education and clinical training
