Neuroendocrine Center
Children with neuroendocrine tumors and other neuroendocrine disorders often require care from many different specialties. At Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), we offer families a coordinated treatment approach, drawing on experts from across the hospital. All our team members have vast experience in diagnosing and treating complex neuroendocrine conditions that affect the hypothalamus and pituitary gland.
We thoroughly assess each child's hypothalamic and pituitary systems and ensure that every family has a complete understanding of their child's condition and next steps in their treatment.
The therapy or combination of therapies we recommend are tailored to each child’s diagnosis.
We also continually work to improve treatments and created a biobank for specimens for research.
How we serve you
Depending on your child's diagnosis, we may involve a variety of additional CHOP specialty programs in their care. We will work with other CHOP experts toward the best possible outcome for your child.
Conditions we treat
Many different conditions can disrupt the typical release of hormones from the hypothalamus and pituitary gland. Our experts determine the cause of your child's condition and which treatment(s) will restore hormonal balance.
