Our Philadelphia and King of Prussia medical teams work closely together, combining their expertise to diagnose and develop personalized treatment plans for each patient. Primary teams at the Middle Family Pavilion
Emergency Department
The Emergency Department (ED) at King of Prussia hospital offers various in-person consults (including 24/7 orthopedic APP evaluation), as well as phone consults with most Philadelphia Campus resources. The King of Prussia hospital ED can facilitate admission to inpatient units for patients meeting admission criteria.
Services that may require in person consultation but are not available on site in the King of Prussia hospital ED include:
- Dentistry
- Oral surgery
- Ophthalmology
- Trauma surgery
- Neurosurgery
- CT surgery
Patients who require in-person care from one of these subspecialty teams (or other services not available at the King of Prussia hospital) can be transferred to the Philadelphia Campus as needed.

General pediatrics
King of Prussia hospital patients routinely cared for by the Philadelphia General Pediatrics service are covered by this team, with the exception of those excluded from the King of Prussia hospital population and those requiring non-invasive ventilation (cared for in PICU).

Oncology

Adolescent medicine
This team primarily covers only malnutrition patients.
Patients with severe bradycardia are admitted to ICU floor but covered by this team.

- Daytime Adolescent attending in-house with home overnight call

Surgical inpatient team
Team covers both scheduled inpatients and emergent surgical patients for the following services: general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, plastic surgery, and urology.
