Advanced Cardiac Therapies for Heart Failure Patients
The Advanced Cardiac Therapies for Heart Failure Patients (ACT-HF) program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) provides care and treatment for children with advanced heart failure. Our heart failure team is one of the most experienced in the country and is dedicated to discovering new ways of treating heart failure and improving the long-term health of children who receive transplants.
Your child will be cared for in our dedicated Heart Failure Intensive Care Unit (ICU), one of two in the country. They'll have access to necessary services, including rehabilitation and physical and occupational therapy, to make sure their body is healthy for transplant. Our team will be with them — and with you — through rehabilitation, ventricular assist device (VAD) placement, heart transplant and beyond.
How we serve you
Part of one of the country's largest pediatric cardiac centers, we offer various services to meet your child's complex needs. The ACT-HF is a dedicated program — with a dedicated team of surgical, medical, rehabilitation and ICU providers — where your child can access all necessary services in one place.
