About Pamela Nathanson, MBE, HEC-C
As Associate Director of the Ethics Committee at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Pam manages the day-to-day work of the Department of Medical Ethics. She writes ethics-related policies for the hospital, provides ethics education, develops ethics educational materials, and conducts clinical ethics consultations. Prior to focusing her career on medical ethics and coming to CHOP, Pam held several positions in the public and non-profit health sectors. Pam received a BA in History and Sociology of Science, a Master of Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, and is a certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HEC-C).
