About Nijah Famous, MPA
Nijah Famous, MPA is the Director of School Partnerships in the Office of Community Impact at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. In this role, Nijah leads the Healthcare Career Connected Learning Initiative, which is funded by Bloomberg Philanthropies. In collaboration with Mastery Schools, this pioneering initiative will establish a unique high school in Southwest Philadelphia that will equip students with the skills, knowledge, relationships, and support necessary to pursue careers in healthcare. Nijah will also help advance CHOP’s school strategy.
Nijah brings two decades of experience and expertise in driving transformative initiatives tailored to uplift marginalized communities. Her skillset encompasses workforce development, benefits access, government affairs, research evaluation, and the strategic implementation of programs addressing social drivers of health. Prior to starting at CHOP, Nijah was the Associate Director of Partnerships at Benefits Data Trust, where she oversaw application assistance programs in collaboration with governmental entities across the country. Nijah earned her BA from Temple University and her MPA from Widener University.
