Cervivor asks their community about trigger words
Cervivor is a community for those affected by cervical cancer. In a recent blog post, they shared what words and phrases were upsetting to them during or after their treatment for cervical cancer. The post is short, but it's worth having a look because it includes descriptions of how the recipients felt upon hearing certain words or well wishes. It is fair to expect that words and phrases will resonate differently among a group of people, but the more we hear how words may make others feel, the more empathetic we can be.
