NRC-RIM health needs assessment toolkit
The National Resource Center for Refugees, Immigrants, and Migrants (NRC-RIM) recently released a toolkit to assist groups with conducting a health needs assessment. As they describe, “A health needs assessment is a systematic process of collecting, analyzing, and using information to identify the health needs and priorities of a specific population or community.” This type of analysis is useful because it allows for directing resources toward particular needs in an informed and coordinated manner. The toolkit includes a best practices guide as well as an assessment question checklist and examples of assessments conducted by the International Rescue committee (IRC).
