Thomas Conlon, MD

Dr. Thomas Conlon is an Assistant Professor and Director of Critical Care Ultrasound at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He co-directs the biannual CHOP Bedside Ultrasound Course hosted in Philadelphia, offering multi-discipline training over two days in pediatric acute care procedural and diagnostic point-of-care ultrasound applications.

Dr. Conlon has also directed courses to diverse audiences around the world including over 100 international lectures across Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Turkey, The United Arab Emirates, France, Italy and Switzerland. He has co-authored multiple manuscripts, chapters, and editorials on pediatric acute care ultrasound and served as co-editor for the second edition of Comprehensive Critical Care Ultrasound published by the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM). He was recently co-author of international critical care and neonatal ultrasound guidelines through The European Society of Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care (ESPNIC). Dr. Conlon currently sits on point-of-care ultrasound advisory committees within ESPNIC and the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) as well as serving on the 2024 Surviving Sepsis Campaign Children's Guidelines panel.
