Roberts Children's Health

Rising Ever Higher

For nearly 170 years, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) has been a world leader in pediatric health. Now, the next era of breakthroughs for children is on the horizon. A transformational gift of $125 million from Aileen and Brian Roberts and their family is partially funding Roberts Children’s Health at CHOP, opening in 2028. The heart of the renovated and redesigned flagship hospital is the highest quality patient family experience and groundbreaking bench-to-bedside care CHOP is known for. With more integrated technologies, individualized experiences and amenities for families, Roberts Children’s Health is designed to ensure each family’s stay is as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

In addition to a suite of innovative new features at CHOP’s flagship hospital on the Philadelphia Campus, Roberts Children’s Health will include a more than 1 million-square-foot new inpatient tower that will revolutionize patient care technology and the family experience. Currently under construction, the new building will rise more than 20 stories, the new building will be the tallest medical building in West Philadelphia, serving as a beacon of hope and healing for families around the world – now, and for generations to come.
