Will or Living Trust

How to include a gift in your will

Grandfather and granddaughter

Creating or updating your will or living trust is an important way to care for your loved ones and the charities that reflect your values, but it doesn't have to be complicated:

  • Think about the loved ones and causes you’d like to support.
  • Create a will that reflects your wishes and priorities.
  • Feel the peace of mind that comes with knowing your loved ones and favorite causes will be cared for.

You can leave most of your resources to your loved ones and reserve a small percentage to Children’s Hospital. We welcome gifts in any amount, and you can change your mind at any time.

Simply contact your attorney or advisor to discuss the best way to update your will. To include a gift to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, you will need our designation and tax ID number. Your attorney can help you determine the best way to structure your gift.

If you are thinking about designating a gift to a particular program or area of research, the Planned Giving team is happy to help you explore your options and draft example language for your will that ensures your gift will be used as you intend.
