Asthma Community Classes

The Community Asthma Prevention Program (CAPP) works in many Philadelphia communities to provide free asthma education classes in familiar environments.

Classes are open to all members of the community and helps caregivers learn how to recognize the early clues and symptoms of asthma flare-ups. Knowing the symptoms means you can help your child when he or she is having problems breathing. Knowing about the kinds of asthma triggers helps you remove them from your home. Two community classes run simultaneously - one class is geared toward caregivers, while the other toward the children age five years and older. Thus, children are invited to attend.
