Myelodysplastic Syndrome
What is myelodysplastic syndrome?
Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) is associated with low blood cell counts and a high risk for progression to cancer. The disease is more common in elderly people and rarely occurs in children.
Symptoms of myelodysplastic syndrome include:

Myelodysplastic syndrome is usually diagnosed with blood tests, bone marrow samples and molecular tests.
