Trauma Center
If your child suffers a trauma and needs emergency care, it can be an overwhelming experience. You may feel helpless and anxious. We are here for you. The Trauma Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center. It was the first trauma center in Pennsylvania to receive this designation, which is the highest available. This designation means your child will receive the best care as quickly as possible.
When a child suffers trauma, it is crucial to get them evaluated quickly and thoroughly. Our multidisciplinary team of specially trained healthcare providers comes together within a matter of minutes to provide the expert care that critically or severely injured children need. This ensures the best outcome.
