Dermatology Section
If your child has a skin condition, the Dermatology Section at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) can provide expert care. We treat children and adolescents with common skin disorders as well as rare and complicated conditions. We evaluate everything from birthmarks, scars and warts to a wide variety of skin diseases and infections.
Our offerings include:
- Pulsed tunable dye laser to treat areas of discolored or raised skin, such as port wine stains
- Excimer laser to treat inflammatory and autoimmune skin disorders, such as psoriasis and alopecia areata
- Surgical removal of skin lesions, including moles, using age-appropriate procedures
- Laser hair removal
