Background

From the time I started nursing school, I knew that I wanted to take care of children and their families. I began to develop an interest in pediatric dermatology when I saw the profound impact skin conditions can have on self-esteem and social relationships. As a pediatric dermatology NP, I see my role as not only medically managing a child's skin condition but also helping children learn to navigate some of the social challenges that can arise from having visible differences.
