CHOP Asthma Expert Participates in Presidential Roundtable

Dr. Tyra Bryant-Stephens Dr. Tyra Bryant-Stephens, founder and director of the Community Asthma Prevention Program (CAPP) at CHOP, participated in a roundtable discussion with President Obama on climate change and public health in Washington, DC. She shared her firsthand experience of the health impacts of environmental factors on her patients, and explained how CHOP is working to improve outcomes for asthma patients through CAPP and other initiatives.

CAPP provides community-based comprehensive asthma education for families, medical professionals and school personnel, as well as home visits to teach families about the types of environmental changes they can make to improve their child’s asthma.
